The Civil War started over slavery because they wanted to fight over who had slaves as well as for economic reasons. During the Civil War woman were also left to take care of the farms and businesses. Black solidiers were paid less than white soldiers.

Well Apu was right because the Civil War was mostly being fought over who should have slavery.And economic reasons. Most women were left with the businesses and the plantations.
Blacks were paid less than white soilders.

Joseph R. McCarthy was a senator that had strong anti-communistic views. But he was ended because of this. He helped expose the hundreds of anti-americans working secretly for the U.S. government. But the Senate beacme tired of McCarthy’s “showmanship” and the liberal media made biased attacks and ridiculed him. After the Senate censured him, he fell into alcoholism from whick he didn’t recover. He died on May 2nd, 1957 at age 49 from hepatitis. He was an American hero whose patriotism was his downfall.

I think that Apu was right because Slavery wasn’t the only cause of the Civil War because there was also Economic Constitutional and States Rights. But I understand why the Proctor said Slavery because it was the main cause of the Civil War.

we think that Apu is right, because there was more than one reason like the South didn’t like tariffs and the North did and government and finally free labour.

constitution
those are some of the many reasons that the civil war started.

there were more cause of the civil war like the constitutional issues and the economic issues.slavery wasn’t the only issue even though it was a big issue.
