George Washington was lucky to have Benjamin Banneker working for him.  What two events in Banneker’s life caused him to become the right person to help design Washington, D.C.?  Tell me what you think in a response to this post.

1.Benjamin Banneker saw a watch a he said then that it would change his life and it did.
2.He also helped to Joesph Ellicott build complex watches.
3. He also helped survey the Federal territory.

When Josef Levi showed him a watch he was fascinated by it.When a family friend died, he left him a book on astronomy. He read the books and learned a lot about the stars and solar system.

Even though Benjamin Banneker was the son of a slave, he excelled with his grades. His dad was a member of the royal family in Africa and and was excellent in agricultural endeavors.

Because he was a smart and had a never give attitude it made sense to pick him as some to help build& design the white house. So it was even cooler because he was the son of a slave. He also helped survey the Federal territory. He also helped Joesph Ellicott build complex watches making a good ingineer.
